- The Old Pomene hotel is a historic landmark.
Once known as the holiday home of Samora Machel, the well-preserved ruins are a popular sight for photographers and tourists around the world. The cliffs at the hotel are a popular fishing destination, the blow holes are magnificent to see and hidden between the cliffs lies a small beach. The Old Hotel is approximately 500 meters from the lodge.
- The estuary, mangroves and sandy dunes are ideal for nature lovers to experience the pristine nature in a unique, un-spoilt destination.
There is another lodge about 5km from IZ-MA-AN Lodge; they also offer a wide range of activities for the whole family including a restaurant (booking required), swimming pool and bar. Visit their reception for more enquiries concerning fishing charters, scuba diving, boat cruises, and renting gear.
